Speciality: Pilgrimages in medieval clothing

I work at the nursery of the Rudolf-Steiner-School in Munich as a social pedagogy worker. I went onto the pilgrimage to Santiago out of different reasons: On the one hand I like to hike because I have time on those long walks to think about different things and to experience calmness. Especially very attractive appeared to me to be on a pilgrimage that so many people went on for so many reasons over the last centuries. Now, why to do it all in medieval clothing? Surely because I am fascinated by the Middle Ages and I made a hobby out of it long ago, but also because it gives me the feeling to be more in touch to those pilgrims that were walking the Camino before me and the nature (wet leather shoes and woolen coats are not to be compared to modern hiking boots and Goretex jackets). This way you are exposed more to the elements and experience them more intense. I believe that I can deal with me, my restrictions and my thoughs in a whole different light. Because we can make just short stages our goal is unfortunately far away, but it is always before our eyes.
